How we estimate your grafts
Surgeons plan a hair transplant zone by zone. The hairline and temples, the mid-scalp and the crown each need a typical number of grafts for every stage of hair loss. The calculator adds up the areas you choose, then adjusts for what changes coverage: hair thickness, texture (curly and coily hair covers more), the contrast between your hair and skin, and the look you want.
The last check is your donor area — the back and sides of the scalp. It can only give a limited number of grafts over a lifetime, so a larger estimate may be planned in two sessions, or with the front as the priority. Read more in our guide How many grafts do I need?

How accurate is the graft calculator?
It gives a realistic range based on typical graft counts for each stage and area, adjusted for your hair's thickness, texture and color contrast and for your donor area. Your exact number is set by a surgeon after examining your donor density — free, from photos or in person.
Does the number of grafts change my price?
No. HAIROCKET packages have one fixed price that covers the maximum grafts medically suitable for your case — Essential $5,500, Signature $5,750 or Elite $8,000.
Why do you ask about hair thickness and texture?
Coarse, curly or coily hair covers more scalp per graft, so fewer grafts can give the same look. Fine, straight hair — or a strong contrast between dark hair and light skin — usually needs more.
What if my estimate is above what my donor area can give?
Your surgeon plans the front first and may split the work into two sessions or combine the transplant with medical therapy and PRP to protect the hair you have.
