The first 14 days
Day 1First wash at the clinic
We remove the bandage and show you the gentle washing technique you'll use at home.
Days 2–3Swelling peaks, then fades
Sleep at a 45° angle with the travel pillow provided. Mild forehead swelling is normal.
Days 4–7Back to light routine
Most patients return to desk work. Keep washing twice a day; avoid touching the grafts.
Days 8–14Crusts fall away
Gently remove remaining crusts during washing. Light exercise can resume after day 10.
Do
- Sleep with your head elevated for 5 nights
- Wash exactly as shown on day one
- Wear a loose cap outdoors from day 3
- Stay hydrated and take medications as prescribed
Don't
- Scratch, pick or rub the grafts
- Swim, sauna or sweat heavily for 2 weeks
- Drink alcohol for 7 days
- Wear tight hats or helmets for 10 days

Can I drive home after the procedure?
We recommend you don't, as you may receive a mild sedative. We can arrange a car.
When can I exercise again?
Walking right away, light exercise after 10 days, and full workouts after about 4 weeks.
When can I get a haircut?
Scissor cuts after 4 weeks; clippers on the transplanted area after about 3 months.
Who do I call if something feels wrong?
Your aftercare nurse is available by phone and WhatsApp, with an after-hours line for urgent concerns.

Hair transplant recovery for patients travelling to South Florida
Hair transplant recovery is simpler than most people expect. Most patients return to desk work within three to five days, see new growth from month three or four and reach their final result around month twelve. Because our Turkish-trained surgeons are based in South Florida, your follow-ups happen in person or by video — not across an ocean.
If you're travelling from outside South Florida
Patients from elsewhere in Florida often drive in the morning of surgery and go home after the day-one wash. Patients flying in from other states usually plan three nights: arrive the day before, have surgery, attend the first wash and fly home. Remote check-ins at months three, six and nine mean you only need to return if you want to.
