Turkish hair transplant expertise, a 1 hour flight from Orlando
Orlando patients have more travel options than most: a one-hour flight from MCO to Fort Lauderdale, a Turnpike drive of about 3.5–4 hours, or Brightline to Fort Lauderdale. Many choose HAIROCKET for surgeons with Turkish high-volume experience that's hard to find closer to home.
Every HAIROCKET surgeon learned their craft in Turkey's high-volume hair clinics and now practices in South Florida under Florida licensure, with U.S. standards for safety, privacy and consent. You get the Turkish approach to planning and precision, and you stay close to Orlando for recovery and follow-up.

Plane, train or Turnpike: getting from Orlando to Tamarac
Orlando is about 207 miles from our clinic, and it's one of the few Florida cities with three realistic ways to make the trip. Flying from Orlando International (MCO) to Fort Lauderdale takes about an hour, and the clinic is a short drive from FLL. It's the quickest time in transit, though airport time on both ends adds up. From Lake Nona, MCO is close by; from Winter Park or Altamonte Springs, factor in the drive across town before you compare options.
Brightline to Fort Lauderdale is the option many Orlando patients only think of when they plan the return. On the train you sit upright, nobody has to drive, and you can stand up and move around whenever you like. From the Fort Lauderdale station, a car takes you to Tamarac. It makes for a calm ride home the day after the first wash, with your hands free for your aftercare kit.
The Florida Turnpike is the direct road route: about 3.5–4 hours, depending on where you start and on traffic; from Kissimmee you're already partway down the Turnpike. It works well on the way down. On the way back, be a passenger; you're a day out from surgery and post-op medication can make you drowsy. The Turnpike's service plazas make it easy to stop, stretch and drink water, and a travel neck pillow keeps the back of your head off the headrest.
Plan one or two nights in Broward. The first wash is the morning after the procedure, so the night after surgery is spent near the clinic; add the night before if you have an early start or are coming by road from Winter Park or Altamonte Springs. Pack a zip-front top whichever way you travel, so nothing has to be pulled over the grafts.
Back home, Central Florida brings its own aftercare questions. If you work in hospitality or spend weekends at the theme parks, plan time away from long hours in the sun, crowded lines and rides that press your head against a restraint or headrest, typically for at least the first two weeks and longer for high-intensity rides. Summer afternoons bring heat and sudden storms, so choose early-morning walks around Lake Eola over midday errands. Follow-ups at months 3, 6 and 9 happen by video from Orlando; month 12 can be in person. See the patient guide for the full timeline.
| Step | What happens | Planning from Orlando |
|---|---|---|
| Photo analysis & written plan | A surgeon reviews four photos (front, top, crown, sides) and sends a written plan and all-inclusive quote within 24 hours. | Photos from Winter Park, Lake Nona or Dr. Phillips work the same; the plan comes before you pick flight, Brightline or Turnpike. |
| Consultation | A conversation with the surgeon, by video or in person, about hairline, graft plan and expectations. | Video suits most Orlando schedules; an in-person consultation means a long day trip by road, rail or air. |
| Procedure day | Hairline design, then Sapphire FUE extraction and implantation under local anesthesia. | Arrive the day before by any of the three routes; an early procedure is easier after a night near the clinic. |
| Next-day first wash & check | The team performs the first wash, checks grafts and donor area, and reviews home care. | Head home afterward by air or Brightline, or as a Turnpike passenger; keep your head upright and shaded. |
| Follow-ups (months 3, 6, 9, 12) | Growth and density reviews at each milestone against your starting photos. | Video from Orlando at months 3, 6 and 9; the month-12 review can be combined with any trip to South Florida. |

Recovering at home in Orlando
One of the biggest advantages for Orlando patients is recovering in your own home instead of a hotel on the other side of the world. For the first five nights, sleep with your head elevated; wash gently exactly as shown at your day-one visit; and avoid direct sun, swimming pools, the ocean and heavy exercise for about two weeks. Central Florida sun is strong year-round, so wear a loose, clean hat outdoors from day three.
Your aftercare team is available on WhatsApp seven days a week — send a photo whenever you have a question. New growth usually appears around month three or four, visible change arrives by month six and the final result matures around month twelve. Most Orlando patients never need a second trip: check-ins at months three, six and nine happen by video.
Hair restoration options in Central Florida
Patients in Orlando often compare three options: a local clinic, a medical-tourism package in Istanbul, or a Turkish-trained surgeon in South Florida. Whichever you consider, verify that the operating surgeon holds a Florida medical license, ask who performs each step, and compare written, all-inclusive quotes.
HAIROCKET combines the techniques Turkey is known for — Sapphire FUE, stem cell hair transplants and unshaven FUE — with Florida licensure and in-person access. Read more in our Florida hair transplant guide and Turkey vs USA comparison.

How much does a hair transplant cost for Orlando patients?

Can I get a quote before travelling?
Yes — send four photos from Orlando and a surgeon will reply with a graft estimate and quote within 24 hours.
Can I take Brightline home to Orlando the day after my procedure?
Yes, many patients find the train a comfortable choice after the first wash: you sit upright, you don't drive and you can move around. Get a ride from the clinic to the Fort Lauderdale station, keep the grafts out of direct sun on the platform, and avoid lifting heavy luggage. The same basic rules apply as for a flight home.
When is it OK to go back to Orlando's theme parks and rides?
Walking around a park in the shade is different from riding a coaster. Plan to avoid hours of direct sun, heavy sweating and anything that presses the back of your head against a restraint or headrest for at least the first two weeks; high-intensity rides may need longer. Ask at your first wash or by WhatsApp before planning a park day.
